Urban Running

Urban Running is a run club with a difference.

With a real emphasis on teaching everything from stride, body position, or breathing technique,  we take you through a series of sessions aimed at either getting you started or improving your performance.

New, this 2011/2012 season, a series of different classes :

Beginners : Learn to run with a friendly group of like minded people! Suitable for those who want to start from the very beginning, or start again after a long break … the first classes will cover everything from body position, stride, breathing technique etc…. The beginners class will aim at getting you from 0 to running your first 5km. If passing that finish line is what you want, give us a call and start learning the right way !

Intermediate : In this class, you are already comfortable running for 25min or a distance of 5km and over.  We will take you to a 10km distance or get you to improve your pace significantly.

Speed/Pace training : Suitable for everyone, these sessions will work on your speed through fartlek training, sprints and short distances runs at higher paces.  We will include some sand running as well.

Every class is different, pushing a little bit more each time, one step at a time !  Some of our dedicated participants started from scratch and went on to run 5km, 10km and half marathons in excellent times….

Urban Running classes start again on the week of 10th of September in Arabian Ranches and Umm Suqueim.
